Chipotle Mexican Grill is leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline the hiring of 20,000 new employees ahead of its busiest time of year, known as “burrito season.” The company’s AI-driven hiring efforts include a virtual assistant named Ava Cado, which has nearly doubled applicant flow and reduced the time-to-hire from eight days to four. Ava Cado interacts with candidates by answering questions, collecting basic information, scheduling interviews, and sending offers to selected applicants.
